The Recipe

The recipe called for potatoes,
 I substituted rice.
The recipe said to use paprika,
 I used another spice.

It said to use tomato sauce,
 I used tomato paste.
Not half a can, but a whole one,
 because I don't believe in waste.

A friend gave me this recipe,
 She said, "You couldn't beat it",
I think there must be something wrong with her,
 I couldn't even eat it...
