Fri. Dec 3rd edition of the Seattle Times:]
DO I HEAR A BID? PROTEST GIFT PACK FOR SALE BY EBAY
(P-I Staff)
Before the tear gas had cleared or the final trade agreement pounded out,
one entrepreneur had assembled a gift pack of protest memorabilia and
offered it to the highest bidder on e-Bay.
Included is a detonated dispersion grenade, two tear gas canister heads,
two detonated concussion grenades, one broken handle to a billy club and a
handful of rubber bullets.
The bidding started at $50 and with three bids by last evening, the highest
offer was $75.
The seller, identified only as "adamcohn" hawked his treasures with slogans
like, "Get your own souvenirs/memorabilia of the last great riot of the
millennium!!!" and "Bring the Battle in Seattle '99 home!"
Act now. The offer is good until Dec. 12.
