For any of you who listened to WOR radio out of New York in the 60's and
70's, and remembered the wonderful stories and stream-of-consciousness
musings of Mr. Jean Shepard.  Also, the movie "A Christmas Story" was based
on one of his short stories about growing up in Northern Indiana --Bob S

[And then there was the wonderful 10-inch record he made with Charlie Mingus  
telling a story called "The Clown"...  -psl]

It with regret and sadness that we have to report the passing of Jean
Shepherd on October 16th at a Florida hospital. He was 78.
