Subject: Bookshelf reaction

There's a slightly alarming line in Oliver Sacks' excellent book _An
Anthropologist on Mars_.  He visits a house in which most or all of the
family members are at least mildly autistic... and notes that "as in most
such households" there is a large bookshelf of science fiction placed very
prominently in the living room.
