To the tune of
"Moonlight in Vermont"
* * *
Analyzing form
Anal poets' parlor games
This song is haiku.
Five beats to the line
Seven next, then five again
Doubtlessly haiku.
This is the bridge and it makes a departure
From verse form, but how could it not?
Though it may scan and sound somewhat more Western
There's still not a hint of a rhyme scheme.
Catch a falling star
Operators standing by
Everything's haiku.
