HOW SMART ARE YOU?
READ this sentence:
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.
Now count aloud the F's in that sentence. Count them ONLY ONCE; do not
go back and count them again.
ANSWER
There are six F's in the sentence. One of average intelligence finds
three of them. If you spotted four, you're above average. If you got
five, you can turn your nose at most anybody. If you caught six, you
are a genius. There is no catch.
[Oh come on. Sure there's a catch. Most people will overlook the Fs in the
word "of." For that reason, I would rank the counts this way...
3 F You have average skills of observation and intelligence
4 F You're more observant, but dumber (you noticed the F in at least one
"of" but didn't think about it)
5 F You're even more observant and dumber (as for 4 F) or merely sloppy
6 F You're observant, but probably boring (I'm the exception, of course)
2 F You missed the F in SCIENTIFIC, too? Sheesh!
1 F No, I don't believe you
0 F Don't try to install Windows 95 by yourself, okay?
