The Nation Launches Site on World Wide Web
==========================================================
The Nation magazine is proud to announce the beta release of The Nation
Digital Edition, its new presence on the World Wide Web.
The site debuts Monday March 18th and can be found at:
http://www.TheNation.com.
The Digital Edition offers highlights from the current issue of The Nation,
America's oldest weekly journal of politics and culture. The site will be
updated weekly, within 24 hours of press time.
Visitors to the site will also find background material not appearing in the
magazine, including photos, interviews, research documents, resource lists
and material from our impressive 130-year archive of progressive journalism.
Additional features of the site include:
* RadioNation, The Nation's syndicated weekly radio show, in RealAudio
format. Plus audio commentaries by Nation writers like Katha Pollitt,
Christopher Hitchens and Calvin Trillin.
* An interactive version of NationAlert, our monthly political action
bulletin, with direct links to the e-mail addresses -- and fax machines -- of
government decision-makers and corporate honchos.
* Online discussion forums with Nation editors and contributors.
* The "Hot List," our take on what's hot and what's not on the Net -- left,
right and center.
And that's just the beginning! Please join us as we bring progressive
journalism into the digital age. If you read and enjoy The Nation, you won't
want to miss The Nation Digital Edition!
