[I realize this may not make much sense to anyone not immersed in Bluegrass
music lore. I'm afraid that's just one of the many ways in which life is
tough. -psl]

I heard this story last Friday from Tim O'Brien, although I'm afraid I can't
remember either the name of the musician or the country he was visiting
(somewhere in Africa? South America?). The touring bluegrass musician asked
his host, conversationally, "So, do you get many bluegrass musicians out
here?" And the man replied, "Oh yes. A few months ago we had Idiot Cock."
The musician didn't know quite what to say, so he just nodded... It wasn't
till later, when talking to others, that he realized his host had been
referring to Eddie Adcock.
