On the flight back last week I sat next to a guy from an industrial 
security company,  For $300,000 they bought a slightly used Titan 
missile site near Moses Lake, complete with 3 underground silos.  They 
are converting the silos to computer tape archives.  Companies like 
airlines will pay this company to transport their tapes to the missile 
site via armored car, where they will be stored in a climate-controlled 
facility which, incidentally, can survive a direct nuclear strike.

This wins my award for "most creative use of a missile silo by a guy 
sitting next to me on a flight of 5 hours or less."
