Announcing Rhyme-n-Reason, a new addition to the services from the
wordserver. It is a word puzzle with a series of three progressively
harder clues with rhyming word answers. A sample puzzle is:
1. Waterford Handgun (7, 6)
2. Slightly intoxicated Vagabond (5, 5)
3. What the number 3, 7, 13 or 17 might say: (2, 5)
The numbers in parenthesis indicate the number of letters in
the answer word pair. For the above puzzle, answers are:
1. Crystal Pistol
2. Tipsy Gypsy
3. I'm Prime
Rhyme-n-Reason is created by HOAD (g8217871@mcmaster.ca).
A new puzzle appears daily. To get Rhyme-n-Reason Send a message to:
wordsmith@viper.cwru.edu
Make the subject line of the message as,
Rhyme-n-Reason mmddyy
Where mm, dd and yy are the month, day and year number, respectively.
For example, to get the puzzle for August 14, 1994 you'd make subject
as "Rhyme-n-Reason 081494". "Rhyme-n-Reason today" will get you the
puzzle for that day.
To get the FAQ file, make the subject line as "info Rhyme-n-Reason".
