Tonight we all may very well see the Aurora Borealis ("the northern lights")
even in NYC... and perhaps even as far south the South Carolina.

Old Sol just horked up some of the largest solar flares in the last 11 year
solar cycle, which means that we could be in for a very pretty light show
for the next couple of days.

Make sure you take a few minutes late this evening to go outside and look
north (that would be "uptown" for the directionally impared in NYC), if
you've never seen the northern lights before you're in for a treat.
