Madison, Wisconsin:

Another sign that Christmas is around the corner: An atheist group received
permission to put up its sign next to the Christmas tree in the state
Capitol.

It is the second year the sign will appear in that spot.

It will read, "In this season of the Winter Solstice, may reason prevail.
There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only
our natural world. Religion is but a myth and superstition that hardens
hearts and enslaves minds."

On the back is affixed a label reading, "Thou shalt not steal."

"Last year we were told our equal-time sign was a tourist attraction," Anne
Gaylor, president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, which is
sponsoring the sign, said in a statement Tuesday. "We plan to make this a
winter solstice tradition."
