Los Angeles, California:

There's no room for high romance in the bedroom communities of San Fernando
Valley.

Valley residents, already upset about the noise at Van Nuys Airport, are
now complaining about a very different kind of sound going on over their
heads in this section of Los Angeles.

Mile High Adventures, which moved to the airport this year from Santa
Monica, offers very private flights featuring chocolate-covered strawberries
and champagne in a bedroom cabin for amorous couples.

"This is the last straw -- people fornicating in the skies over our city,"
Gerald Silver, president of Homeowners of Encino.

Springfield, Massachusetts:

A mysterious ticking from a suitcase prompted the evacuation of several
dozen people Sunday from the city's train station. The noise turned out to
be a vibrating sex toy.

Police evacuated the building after Amtrak personnel reported a "ticking
sound" coming from the piece of luggage in the storage area, Lt. Robert
Thibodeau said. The bag had been checked in advance by a passenger
traveling to Atlanta on Monday.

Employees tried to call the phone number listed on the baggage tag, but
called police after discovering the number had been disconnected. Officers
then found the vibrator.

The suitcase's owner came to the station to claim his property after he was
reached by police.

"I don't know who this guy was going to see in Atlanta," Thibodeau said.
"He must have been pretty red in the face."
