"In a tin of Spam, Joey Green has discovered something new and downright
shocking: The famous canned luncheon meat doubles as a furniture polish.

"It's probably harmless, says Carl Charles, an environmental health services
director for Los Angeles County's Department of Health Services. 'I've never
heard of polishing furniture with Spam,' said Charles. 'I'm not sure, but
I don't think a small amount would pose a health risk -- unless you lick
the furniture."

The article also listed other innovations by Green -- who is working on a
book titled "How to Paint Your House With Powdered Milk" -- such as using
Jif peanut butter for axle grease and shaving cream (as long as it's smooth,
not crunchy), cleaning the toilet bowl with Coca-Cola, and using Morton salt
as flea repellent.
