The Journal of Irreproducible Results (JIR) 
is coming to town!

	"A sort of MAD Magazine for the Stephen Hawking Crowd" -- Boston Globe
	"Our favorite magazine" -- New Scientist
	"The funniest magazine we know" -- Toronto Globe and Mail

!!!!! Calling all scientists (frocked and defrocked), doctors, students (of any
age, inclination and capacity), teachers (of any capacity, inclination,
and age), writers, engineers, convicted felons, Ig Nobel laureates,
economists, and other devotees and practitioners of science humor!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JIR's editor and co-conspirators will be barnstorming the U.S. soon, 
doing readings/seminars/slide shows from the new JIR book, 
"Sex As a Heap of Malfunctioning Rubble (and further improbabilities),"
and gathering nominations for this year's Ig Nobel Prizes.
 
If you would like to host an event when "The Irreproducible Sex Tour"
comes to your town, please get in touch as soon as possible (see below).

WHAT
The tour will feature readings/seminars/slide shows of:
	<> Classic works from The Journal of Irreproducible Results (JIR),
	   the world's oldest, largest, and best known science humor journal. 
	<> Highlights from the Ig Nobel Prize Ceremonies, mounted annually
	   by JIR and The MIT Museum to honor "achievements that cannot
	   or should not be reproduced." 
	<> Current irreproducible research from local scientists.

WHEN AND WHERE
The tour will take place approximately during March and April,
all across the US. Stops already scheduled include:
	Library of Congress (Washington, DC)
	National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, MD)
	MENSA (New York City)
	The Franklin Institute (Philadelphia)

WHO
Marc Abrahams, editor of JIR
Alice Shirell Kaswell, JIR's "Elegant Results" columnist
Dr. Staff, who will speak on a subject To Be Announced
and many other JIR authors (see below).

INSTIGATORS WANTED!!
We are scheduling the tour RIGHT NOW.
If you provide 50 or more people and a place to put them,
we'll show up on your doorstep. If you would like to host
